Correction . . . VERY Pink Pretty Valentine

Allright, I took Kim's advice and decided to really color my dog pink!! (Thanks Kim and everyone else for expressing your enjoyment on our pink Lacy)!



I did it right this time. . .after five packages of Cherry Jello (not store brand), two packets of Dark Cherry Koolaid, and one packet of Cherry Koolaid. . .I now have a very pink dog and very pink hands!! :)

What do you all think?? Any advice on getting pink stain off hands? Any bets on how long the color will last?



The best part about all of this. . .Lacey still loves me!! She is still a very happy/loving dog. I am so glad that this did not make her upset with me!! Hooray!! Perhaps I can prolong the bad mommy doggy of the year award!!

You all know, I just had to take a picture with the victoria secret dogs!! Can you tell which pink dog is alive?? ;)

Pretty Pink Valentine

I am such a bad doggy mommy!! I was eating Cherry Jello . . . about the only thing I can eat!

Well, of course Lacy is looking at me with those cute brown eyes. So I figure why not let her try a little bite. Needless to say she was not interested in it. So of course she sits in it!! Why she sat in the Jello I will never know.
Because of that, these are the turn of events that happened!
I started to wash it off . . . or try to wash the cherry Jello stain off.

I tried washing it off again . . . sadly the pink stain is still there!!

After much discussion with Ryan he decided to stain the rest of her pink. I was not a fan of that plan. I don’t know what would be worse? Having people look at her pink butt and think the worse . . . have her be completely pink all over . . . or have her walk around with a shaved butt.

Ryan began to sell the idea on me. He would do all the work and he would be very nice to her and actually pet her during the process. Of course the idea of Ryan showing any kind of love for my dog sold me on this plan.

We then went to the grocery store and purchased ten packages of Strawberry Jello (store brand so it came to $5). We dumped them all in a rubbermaid container. . .

This is how it turned out. . .

It did not come out even at all!! The stupid spot is still there!! I may need to either wash her over and over again. . .or get more Jello. We should have used the Cherry Jello since that is the one that stained her to begin with. What should I do??

She still looks cute and she reminds me of fluffy pink cotton candy! Most everyone that sees her sees a cute pink dog. Which is better than the alternatives.

In the meantime I am awaiting the bad doggy mommy of the year award!!

Ryan is getting such a kick out of this whole thing!! He is planning to do red white and blue for summer. . .green and red for christmas. . . green for St Patrick's day. . . and purple for the Kings.

What do you all think. . .should he get his way?? What colors would you do if you had the option?

Little Lacy Love Bug

Happy 4th Birthday, Lacy Love!!

I have been going back and forth on posting some of these pictures. First reason, it was when I was feeling very yucky, hence the fact that I look very yucky!! And the other reason is it’s about my dog.

Now I know a lot of you out there (Ryan) don’t think a dog contributes very much in a family; they are just some animal that you waste loads of time and money on. Well, I beg to differ!!

I love my dog and I feel that she is a large part of my immediate family!! So with that being said, happy birthday Lacy Love!! I can't believe you are four years old!
